Jose Chameleone has trashed the talk that he fought with fellow legendary artiste, Ragga Dee in Gulu over Gen. Salim Saleh’s cash.

It’s been two weeks since Jose Chameleone stormed Gulu leading a team of artistes to meet Gen. Salim Saleh to bail them out since their biggest source of income (performances) were banned due to Covid 19 pandemic.

After meeting Gen. Saleh, other artistes travelled back to Kampala, Jose Chameleone and his brothers; Weasel Manizo and Pallaso stayed behind to meet the General privately.

Yesterday, a video leaked showing Chameleone’s car abandoned in the middle of the road, followed by the talk that the ‘Bayuda’ hitmaker had vacated the car after Ragga Dee ‘connived’ with soldiers to arrest him.

The cause of their rift is because of money that was reportedly given Chameleone to share with other musicians but allegedly took off with the bag.

To defuse the rumour, Chameleone posted a video chatting with Ragga Dee with a caption;

Last week, Bobi Wine castigated artistes that had gone to Gulu to meet Gen. Saleh and labelled them beggars.

Bebe Cool responded called him a beggar too and reminded him that during his time in parliament he never presented a single private members bill to help the creative arts.

It should be noted that Jose Chameleone supported president Museveni during the 2016 general elections and even featured in his campaign song ‘Tubonga Nawe’.

However, he quit NRM and joined Democratic Party (DP) pursuing the Kampala Lord Mayor seat. As his name, he betrayed DP and turned Red by joining National Unity Platform (NUP).

Chameleone was frustrated by NUP after they snubbed him and handed the party flag to Hon. Latif Sebagala who pulled later out of the race. Hoping he was going to be considered after Latif’s withdrawal, NUP again handed the legendary artiste a big blow and handed the flag to Nabilah Nagayi Ssempala.

Chameleone’s dream of becoming a Lord Mayor was shuttered after he miserably lost to incumbent Erias Lukwago.
