Former Vipers SC Captain, Tadeo Lwanga Released By Egyptian Premier League Side, Tanta SC

Egyptian Premier legue side, Tanta SC have released Uganda international Taddeo Lwanga and Gabon’s Mario Barnard less than one season after signing the duo.

With just three weeks left before the Egyptian Premier League’s resumption, on August 6th, many clubs have started reorganizing their squads.

This includes Tanta, who decided to release Lwanga and Bernard ahead of their upcoming encounters.

Lwanga joined Tanta from Ugandan club Vipers SC where he stayed for two years and lifted the StarTimes Ugandan Premier League in the 2017/2018 season.

The midfielder made 11 appearances across all competitions and provided one assists in his only season in Egypt.

The former SC Villa player represented the Cranes in the 2019 AFCON, helping them reach the round of 16.

Meanwhile, Bernard came as a hot young prospect from Morocco’s Difaa El-Jadida.

However, the 21-year-old was unable to prove himself with the Yellows, making just four appearances across the league and the Egypt Cup.
