Yesterday, National Unity Platform (NUP) president, Bobi Wine endured a frustrating time as he he entered United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Upon reaching the airport, Bobi Wine says he was arrested by immigration agents, confiscated his passport and phone and interrogated him for 8 hours.

He claims the immigration officials were asking him about NUP leaders, their phone numbers, his family members and their contacts.

After 12 hours, He was finally released to go and prepare for the charity concert aimed at assisting some of the Ugandan immigrant workers return home.

Hours later, he posted that the concert had been cancelled.

With Multmind and Kats promotions, Bobi Wine and Nubian Li were to perform in Abu Hail Club Stadium – Dubai on October 8, Villagio Hotel & Resort – Abu Dhabi on October 9.

After the concert was cancelled, Bobi Wine and Nubian Li went on Facebook Live broadcast and made claims that the government of Uganda frustrated their concert because it doesn’t want Ugandans in UAE to return home.

But our snoops started digging deep to establish the real reason behind the cancelled concert.

We found out that Bobi and the organisers had not followed the criteria to stage a charity concert as per UAE laws.

To stage a charity concert in UAE, an organiser MUST first obtain a license from Ministry of Community Development or a competent authority in each emirate.

Additionally, fund-raising must be done through one of the licensed charities or humanitarian organisations in the UAE.

We have been informed that the organiser overlooked this law. Despite being a charity concert, they were going to charge entrance fees.

Since Bobi Wine contested against president Museveni in 2021 presidential elections and lost, he has been attacking the old man with a hat and his government.

he claims he won the presidency but the electoral commission handed his victory to Museveni.
