Singer and president of musicians in the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) Edirisa Musuuza also known as Eddy Kenzo has revealed reasons why he stopped going for international shows.

He said he was one of the most booked artistes in Uganda to go and perform outside the country.

Eddy Kenzo said he was making so much money but he got to the point where he understood that money wasn’t all that he needed to be a better artiste.

Instead of him making money and other musicians struggling he said he decided to step back from moving and start helping the other musicians also earn from their music like he does.

According to the talented singer,  his focus now is for the betterment of the whole music industry which involves fighting for the copyright law that he has been doing for a long time.

“I haven’t been going out to perform and I did that on purpose. There are people who are booking me but my focus now is on the betterment of the music industry. I don’t want anything else if it is about making money I think it will never end,”

It should be noted that the UNMF has involved government and they are willing to do what they asked for.
