Diamond Platnumz Speaks Out As Rayvanny Launches Own Record Label

Tanzanian musician and songwriter Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, better known as Rayvanny, has  started his own record label dubbed ”Next Level Music”. The 26 year old had been under Diamond-owned label Wasafi Records. He had several songs under the label including Tetema, Natafuta Kiki, Zezeta among others.

After Rayvanny’s decision, Diamond has disclosed that he’s in full support of his new label, terming it as a label with good intentions. He also adds that the label will perform well due this reason. Additionally, Diamond claims Tanzanian music industry has big opportunities, but not most people have exposure.

Rayvanny went ahead and gave a glimpse of how his luxurious label’s headquarters looked like inside. It’s important to note that it was through Diamond that Rayvanny came to the limelight. He made the decision to join WCB Wasafi Records in 2015, which is one of the biggest record labels in East Africa. He was under the leadership and guidance of Diamond Platnumz. The following year he released his first single Kwetu. The song became a hit song in East Africa. It had over 7 million views on YouTube afterwards.
