Diamond Platnumz Comments On The Talk Of Joining Active Politics

In this era, celebrities are using fame to contest for political seats in their countries.

Donald Trump is the US President, George Weah, the legendary footballer is now a president of Liberia. Singer, Jaguar is in Kenyan parliament, Bobi Wine is a an MP and preparing to run for Ugandan presidency, Jose Chameleone is already nominated for Kampala Lord Mayor seat.

To the Tanzanian crooner, Diamond Platnumz, politics is not his portion, but he never said never. Asked in a recent interview on if he would get into this game, he said the music industry needs him more at the moment.

He said “Kiukwei kabisa, mimi bado, kama Mtanzania ni kumuunga mkono mtu yeyote anawezaleta maendelo”. (Honestly, not yet, as a Tanzanian I will support anyone that will bring development)

He went on to say that; Sasa hivi Nahitajka kuweko mziki kwa kuwa nahitajika kuleta maendeloe kwenye mziki. (At the moment, i want to be fully in the music industry to bring development).

Platnumz went on to say that the youth need to put more efforts into what they are doing as hard work is the only way forward.
