The National Unity Platform-NUP presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has suspended his campaigns over what he describes as police and security agencies brutality.

Bobi Wine says he will not campaign for the next two days until the Electoral Commission (EC) explains to him why his rallies are being violently stopped by security personnel.

He says he will be meeting the EC boss Justice Simon Byabakama to demand for an explanation on why the commission is quiet yet security continues to torment him and his supporters.

Earlier today, Bobi Wine was set to hold rallies in Kayunga district but was blocked by police and two people were seriously injured during the stand-off, currently admitted at Mulago national referral hospital for medical attention.

The victims include his producer Don Magic and EC-attached guard ASP Wilfred Kato who is part of his security detail.

Bobi Wine has been warned several times not to attract processions which could aid the wide spread of Coronavirus pandemic but continues to defy the security directives.

In some cases, Bobi Wine finds himself surrounded by crowds especially in towns where he passes through.
