2021 independent presidential candidate, Nancy Kalembe is in big trouble as bank moves to auction her properties after failing to pay loan.

The bank has already notified Kalembe that it will proceed to sell some of her properties under public auction over accumulated debt. 

Ortus Advocates has been instructed to sell properties belonging to Kalembe along Kyadondo Block 246 Plot 1779 and a big chunk of land measuring 40.83 hectares in Kibengo, in the rural Luweero district. The land is registered as Block 443, Plots 112, 115 and 116.

The mentioned properties will be sold within 30 days after the date of notice issued to Kalembe.

Upon instructions from our client, a financial institution, we shall proceed to sell by public auction/private treaty the property (land and its developments) under the mortgage Act 2009 and Deed unless the debtor pays all monies owning principal and interest plus our fees, costs and disbursement before the date of sale

It is alleged that Kalembe borrowed money to fund her presidential campaigns but unfortunately lost miserably to incumbent President, Yoweri Museveni.

Last year, Nancy Kalembe was involved in a bitter fight with Uganda Revenue Authority commissioner, Matthew Mugabi over a plot of land in Mutungo.
