Arsenal agree personal terms with £30m Leicester star

Arsenal have still not made a bid for Youri Tielemans despite agreeing personal terms with the Leicester City midfielder ahead of a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

Tielemans has entered the final 12 months of his £120,000-per-week contract at the King Power Stadium, meaning there is uncertainty over his long-term future, and he is firmly on the Gunners’ radar.

Arsenal are understood to be confident of completing the £30million signing of Tielemans despite facing stiff competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Newcastle United.

However, Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed the central midfielder’s current employers have not received any offers with little more than a month to go before the transfer window slams shut.

That has reportedly had an impact on the Foxes’ own summer plans as they are unable to welcome fresh faces to the club until some of their biggest earners are moved on.

Despite the lack of movement, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Arsenal have been holding internal discussions over Tielemans since January.

Daily Star journalist Paul Brown has previously told GIVEMESPORT that the Gunners’ north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur could pounce as they are long-term admirers of the 25-year-old.
