Andrew Mwenda Picks NUP Nomination Forms, To Challenge Bobi Wine As Party Presidential Candidate

August 7, 2020

Celebrated journalist, Andrew Mwenda has picked National Unity Platform (NUP) nomination forms to challenge Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine as party presidential candidate ahead of 2021 general elections.

Mwenda who has been criticizing People Power, labeling them intolerant, hooligans and radicals picked an interest in running against Bobi Wine after an argument with NUP spokesperson, Joel Ssenyonyi while appearing on NBS TV this morning.

After the show at Media Plaza in Kamwokya, Mwenda slopped to NUP headquarters and picked nomination forms, party card and symbols.

Upon picking the nomination forms, Mwenda made a U-turn and said NUP are not as radical as previously thought.

Since people Power entered a pact with NUP, Bobi Wine has been a solo candidate.

Mwenda’s interest in the party flag means he will have to tussle it out with Bobi Wine in primaries to get a suitable candidate to appear on the ballot in 2021 general elections.
